A-Level Psychology : AQA : Is the scientific study of human and sometimes animal behaviour. Psychology aims to answer questions about how we function, develop and remember. Psychology is made up of a collection of approaches which students will be required to distinguish between and criticise these approaches. Psychology is a lively subject, where you will study learning, aggression, gender, memory and how our behaviour is influenced by others and the society in which we live.
Paper 1 covers cognitive psychology, how memory works, social influence, how we confirm and respond to orders, attachment, how and why children make attachments
Paper 2 : Looks at research methods and approaches and how this is applied to abnormal and biological psychology.
Paper 3 : Covers aggression, Schizophrenia, gender and debates in psychology. Research methods and synoptic issues.
Grade 5 or above in GCSE English and Grade 4 or above in GCSE Maths.
