This is a vocational course with a strong emphasis on practical work. You will study a range of dance styles and creative approaches such as contemporary/jazz and commercial dance as well as increasing your knowledge of safe practice, the performing arts
industry, practitioners and live performance.

TRC organises exciting opportunities for you to work with performers from professional companies and to go and watch live performances. This is a mandatory part of the course and it is essential you take part in each event. The cost is usually no more than
?15 per event.
All assessment will be based on practical assessments and written coursework. Your practical coursework will be a combination of performance work, assessed techniques classes, choreography tasks and collaborative team-work. Your written coursework will be
a combination of research tasks, reports, and evaluations.
You will need to achieve the general entry requirements for Level 3 study as well as having some experience of practical dance (through private lessons or dance study at Level 2). All learners applying for this course should be participating in private dance
lessons in order to make the necessary practical progress.
