What will you be working towards?

Learners will have the opportunity to improve their maths and/or English grade and take additional GCSE subjects in order to bring their Attainment 8 score up to the required level. The GCSE subjects on offer are as follows;

•English Language (AQA)

•Maths (AQA)

•Film Studies (WJEC)

•AS Sociology (AQA)

•Biology (AQA)

•Other qualification are available to choose from based on individual ability e.g Core Maths, Project Qualification You will study four subjects and one tutorial over a five-day timetable.

You will study four lessons in each of your subjects per week.


How will it be delivered?

Depending on subjects chosen there will be a mixture of exams and controlled assessment.

Entry requirements

• You will generally have a minimum of three GCSEs at grade 4 and above, however each student will be assessed on a case by case basis.

• You will need to be able to attain at least five GCSEs at grade 4 or above at the end of the academic year to progress to A Levels. In addition to this, you will need to attain the specific entry criteria for their chosen individual A Level subjects. Please check the A Level course pages for each subject’s specific entry criteria.
