Overview

This is a vocational course designed to introduce you to the hair and beauty industry. You will be able to improve your skills at salon duties, health and saftey and learn about hair, nail and facial treatments.

You will learn about the hair and beauty sector and how to present a professional image in a salon. This industry is very customer focused so it will be important to learn how to prepare the salon for the customers and perform reception duties.

You will learn about beauty apllication techniques and basic hair stying, and have the opportunity to undertake manicures and pedicures. The college operates a working salon that is open to the public, so part of the course will include working safely and effectively in the workplace.
