Details
Experience of work can include working with community and voluntary organisations, major incident simulations with the fire service and work supporting police training.
- Uniformed Public Services students are expected to wear a course polo shirt and appropriate clothing when at college, but especially when representing the college on visits
- You may be entitled to help from the college's Learner Support Fund with the cost of trips, visits, uniform and anything else you need to buy for your course.
How will it be delivered?
The BTEC course is assessed by course work. Assessment methods include written assignments, worksheets, role plays, practical assessments, observations and workbooks. There are no formal exams, although you may be asked to take small tests at times to assess your understanding.
Approximately 40% of the course is practical and 60% is classroom work.
Entry requirements
4 GCSEs at Grade 3 or above including English Language
