You will learn about mechanical and electrical engineering principles and applications and how to solve real life engineering problems.

Combining both theory and hand-on practical skill development the Extended Certificate in Engineering will allow you to explore both mechanical and electrical engineering principles and applications and investigate how to apply them to real life engineering problems. Accessing specialist software and equipment, the more practical elements of the course will help you to master electrical circuits, forces, materials testing and servicing engineered components. This is fully complimented by a broad and comprehensive theoretical curriculum that will support you to understand engineering from all levels. With visits to facilities to experience engineering in its live form alongside university events to understand the next steps, Engineering as part of your study programme could be a positive step into a variety of different careers .
