Overview
This course will develop a students skills in the principles of Pure Mathematics and apply them to Statistics and Mechanics.
Details
Pure Mathematics (approx 2/3): Proof, algebra, graphs, sequences, trigonometry, logarithms, calculus, vectors, functions, numerical methods, differential equations.
Statistics (approx 1/6): Working with a large dataset, probability, modelling, hypothesis, testing, Binomial and normal distribution.
Mechanics (approx 1/6): Kinematics, forces, Newton's Law, Motion under gravity, friction, moments.

AS Mathematics is assessed by 2 components at the end of Y12:

GCSE Mathematics grade 6 or above.
