English Language - A Level

This course offers students an opportunity to engage with particular texts set in a specific historical and literary context. Pupils will develop their abilities to read texts for meaning, engage with different ways of interpreting texts, and develop their abilities to argue their points of view both verbally and in written form. In particular, students will be introduced to the 3 major genres of writing: prose, poetry and drama.
