During the course a range of subjects are covered that will introduce the various aspects of Mechanical and Electrical engineering that will provide you with the required grounding in mathematics, science, production and inspection, project planning and implementation that is essential in the modern engineering workplace.

You will mainly be based in the Training Centre for up to 6 months, which is one of the UK’s leading Training Centres for manufacturing and engineering. This time will enable you to develop high level skills whist gaining on and off the job training.

Details

  • Carrying out fault diagnosis on engineered Systems 

 • Carrying out preventative planned maintenance on engineered systems 

• Assembling and testing fluid power systems 

• Maintaining mechanical devices and equipment 

• Wiring and testing electrical equipment and circuits. 


Note – As the entry requirements are 5 GCSE’s grades 4 and above or A – C we would expect that you are working at this level and have the relevant qualifications to demonstrate this. 

How will it be delivered?

Your qualification will be continually assessed through oral, observation, written and practical work.

Certification will be on completion of your portfolio of evidence.

You will need  5 GCSE’s  A – C or 4-9 including Mathematics, English and Science.
