Overview
Plastering serves a protective function, in that it makes buildings more robust. It is a skilled job and there is a high demand for good plasterers. Plasterers mix and then paste plaster onto the interior surfaces of buildings to prepare them for decoration. They work on a range of buildings including houses and commercial buildings.
Details
You will study the following mandatory units:
- Principles of building construction, information and communication
- Apply plastering materials to interiors
- Fix dry lining and plasterboards to interiors
How will it be delivered?
Throughout the study programme your work will be assessed for a Pass, Merit or Distinction grade. Achieving this diploma means that you have reached the standards expected by the industry.

Your next steps...
Successful completion of this Level 2 study programme could lead to progressing to the Level 3 study programme. Alternatively, you could use the qualification to improve your chances of gaining an Apprenticeship which will give you valuable work experience.
