Overview

The Improving Operational Performance apprenticeship equips learners with the basic skills and knowledge to carry out a range of engineering processes at semi-skilled and operator level.

  • Level 1 Functional Skills in English and maths
  • Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS)

  • QPEO2/001 : Working Safely in an Engineering Environment
  • QPEO2/002 : Working Efficiently and Effectively In Engineering
  • QPEO2/003 : Using and Communicating Technical Information
  • QPEO2/033 : Wiring and Testing Electrical Equipment and Circuits
  • QPEO2/034 : Forming and Assembling Electrical Cable Enclosure and Support Systems
  • QPEO2/037 : Maintaining Electrical Equipment/Systems

How will it be delivered?

You will be continuously assessed throughout the programme on assignments and tasks set by your tutors.

Entry requirements

  • You will need to be at least 16 years of age and must hold three GCSEs at grade A*-D, including GCSE English at grade 3 or above and GCSE maths at grade 4 or above
  • You need to be employed within an engineering role or have an employer in this area willing to take you on as an apprentice
