Overview

This course is an introduction to hairdressing. You will learn the skills required to assist the stylist in their role and carry out treatments within a commercial salon environment.

The course is an assisting role covering the following themes:

•Salon reception duties

•Shampoo and conditioning hair

•Blow drying

•Styling hair

•Health and safety

•Plaiting hair

Alongside this course you will also gain additional qualifications; personal and social development and functional skills.

You will be assessed by online and practical assessments

Entry requirements

Three GCSEs at grade 2 or above including English

A positive school report
