Overview

The Learning for Living and Work department supports students with a learning disability or difficulty, to prepare them for adulthood such as independent living or the world of work.

Details

You will study areas in your individual learning plan. These may include the following:

•Employability skills

•Personal and social development

•Functional skills in numeracy, literacy and ICT


Vocational Options

•Animal Care

•Art and Design

•Car valeting

•Catering

•Construction

•Hair and Beauty

•Horticulture

•ICT and Creative Media

•Retail

•Sport

How will it be delivered?

Assessment is continuous throughout the course.

Entry requirements

•You must have an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and is subject to commissioning by your local authority

•This course is aimed at students aged between 16 and 24

•A successful interview and taster sessions
