Overview

This course is the next stage in the diploma after completion of the Level 1 Routes to Site Carpentry.

You will develop further knowledge and skills to support your career progression within the carpentry and joinery industry.

You will study a range of topics including:
  • Health, Safety and Welfare in Construction
  • Principles of Building Construction, Information and Communication
  • Carry out First Fix Flooring and Roofing
  • Carry out First Fix Frames, Partition and Stairs
  • Carry out Second Fixing Operations
  • Carry out Carpentry Maintenance
  • Set up and Operate a Circular Saw
  • If you have not achieved at Level 2 in both English and maths you will also study Functional skills or GCSE qualifications in English and maths within your course.
