This introductory course is ideal if you have a desire to explore the art, design and fashion industry or are unsure what career you would like to pursue.

You will build the core practical skills needed to progress in art, design and fashion and develop key employability skills such as verbal and written communication.


You will study a range of topics including:
  • Art techniques and processes including drawing, painting, mark making, fashion, animation and art history
  • Art and design practical work
  • Produce work for our end of year exhibition
  • Work individually and as part of a team to put on an art exhibition
  • Employment opportunities in the creative sector

How will it be delivered?

Your course assessments may include:
  • Coursework - including a portfolio of practical artwork with accompanying written work
  • Final artwork will be presented and assessed as part of a group exhibition
