Health and fitness is a growing industry with over 7000 exercise
facilities and gyms currently within the UK. Collectively these serve over 10
million gym members each year.
This qualification will provide you with knowledge and understanding of the
human body, how it responds to exercise and how best to support positive
behaviour change in others. Not only does this course provide you with the key
theoretical underpinning of health and exercise, but it will also provide you
with the opportunity to develop your employment skills ready to take on a role
as a gym instructor or personal trainer on completion.
The qualification provides the knowledge and develops the skills and
application required for professional accreditation with the Register of
Exercise Professionals (REPs) and the Chartered Institute of Management for
Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA) Gym Instructor standards.
