Course Summary

A team leader or supervisor is a common lower-level management position in a wide range of sectors. The roles would include communicating effectively, building relationships, supporting with the development of the team and providing clear guidance and support.

An operations or departmental manager is a common middle-management position in a wide variety of sectors. The roles would include creating and delivering operational plans, managing projects, leading and managing teams, coaching and mentoring.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

During your standard you will develop your knowledge, skills and behaviours to ensure your readiness for your End Point Assessment (EPA). To demonstrate your competency, you will complete exams, coursework and a professional discussion.

Entry requirements

You will need to find an employer to employ you as an apprentice.

Individual employers will set the selection criteria for their apprenticeships.

Progression from this Apprenticeship opens a variety of opportunities such as registering to become an Associate Member with Chartered Management Institute and/or the Institute of Leadership and Management. You could also choose a career pathway as a supervisor, team leader, project officer, shift supervisor and shift manager.
