Apprenticeship in Childcare and Education

An early year's educator / practitioner roles can be found in full day care, children’s centres, pre-schools, reception classes, play groups and more. The roles will include providing emotional care and supporting children’s learning and development.

During your standard you will develop your knowledge, skills and behaviours to ensure your readiness for your End Point Assessment (EPA). To demonstrate your competency, you will complete written assignments, observations and professional discussions.

You will need to find an employer to employ you as an apprentice.

Individual employers will set the selection criteria for their apprenticeships.

Progression from this Apprenticeship opens a variety of opportunities in private and public sectors including full day care, children's centres, pre-schools, receptions classes, nursery school, home based provision, hospitals and social care settings. You could progress onto a higher-level qualification to develop your skills and knowledge.
