Apprenticeship in IT and Computing

An information communication technician role can be found in a wide range of organisations, large and small and within public, private and voluntary organisations. The role will include preparing for new or changed services, supporting clients/customers with their systems and completing regular problem-solving tasks.

During your standard you will develop your knowledge, skills and behaviours to ensure your readiness for your End Point Assessment (EPA). To demonstrate your competency, you will complete a portfolio of work, a project and a technical interview.

You will need to find an employer to employ you as an apprentice.

Individual employers will set the selection criteria for their apprenticeships.

Progression from this Apprenticeship opens a variety of opportunities to pursue a career as a support technician, network technician and digital communications technician. You could progress onto a higher-level qualification to develop your skills and knowledge.
