Course Summary
This course is ideal for learners who have a strong interest in science of living things and their environments. Within the course students will learn about biological molecules, how organisms exchange materials with their environment and how they respond to changes in internal and external environments. Students will also explore genetics, populations, evolution and ecosystems, and the control of gene expression.

Module 1 Development of Practical Skills
Module 2 Foundations in Biology
Module 3 Exchange and Transport
Module 4 Biodiversity, Evolution and Disease
Module 5 Communication, Homeostasis and Energy
Module 6 Genetics, Evolution and Ecosystems.
Modules 2, 3 and 4 are taught in Year 12, with modules 5 and 6 being taught in Year 13. Module 1 is integrated throughout the two years.
