BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport & Coaching Development

The BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport & Coaching Development is one of the most popular qualifications options for our learners to study.

Designed for those who want to continue their education through applied learning, the qualification is ideal for learners who aim to progress onto higher education (University or U.S Scholarships), apprenticeships and future employment within many roles of the football, sport, and exercise science sector.

Equivalent in size to three A Levels, the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport & Exercise Science has been developed and designed as a full two-year study programme, incorporating nine hours per week in player development and industry enrichment experiences.

This provides learners with the opportunity to develop a range of practical and personal skills, techniques, and attributes essential to achieve their chosen pathway, and for successful performance in working life.

Learners are assessed through a combination of both theory, practical and enrichment learning, with on-going assessment throughout the course to develop a portfolio of evidence. There are no exams.

Ideally learners will need to achieve 5 GCSE qualifications at grade 4 (C) and above (preferably including English & Maths) or Merit overall, achieved from a full level 2 qualification.

However, we are able to review all students individually and are sympathetic towards individual needs.
