The Cambridge Advanced National in Mental Health: Individuals & Society is a Level 3 qualification equivalent to one A Level. It develops students’ knowledge, understanding, and practical skills related to mental health and wellbeing within the wider health and social care sector.

The course explores how mental health affects individuals and society, examining the biological, psychological, and social factors that influence wellbeing. Students will learn about mental health conditions, support services, and approaches to promoting positive mental health, gaining valuable insight into how professionals work to improve people’s lives.

For this qualification, students must complete 5 units:

• Two mandatory externally assessed units

• Two mandatory NEA units

• One optional NEA unit

  • F400 Fundamentals of menta health and the individual
  • F401 Mental health, wellbeing and society
  • F402 Supporting and promoting mental health and wellbeing in organisations
  • F403 Community-based support for mental health and wellbeing
  • F404 Supporting mental health and wellbeing with physical activity
  • F405 Supporting mental health and wellbeing with outdoor and creative activities

How will it be delivered and assessed?

Assessment:

Assessment is through a combination of externally marked exams and internally assessed coursework, allowing students to demonstrate their understanding through both written and applied project work.
