Course Summary

This qualification will prepare you for employment for different roles in the digital and creative industries, such as software and programming, network support and digital design.

The qualification is also designed for job roles in other industries where specific digital skills are required, such as finance, marketing and machining and manufacturing.

Course Details

The qualification includes a mandatory unit along with optional units that relate directly to the skills, knowledge and behaviours expected by employers and covers a wide range and use of different digital technologies, systems and software.

This course ensures you have the breadth of skills required to progress on to apprenticeships, employment or Higher Education, covering topics such as:

  • Cybersecurity
  • Databases
  • Digital Project
  • Networking
  • Programming
  • Spreadsheets

How will it be delivered and assessed?

Two of the units are externally assessed and the rest are assessed using various assignments and continually assessed

Entry requirements

Four GCSEs at grade 3 or above including English and Maths. Where applicants do not meet the entry requirements, the tutor may use their discretion based on a good personal reference and/or successful interview.

If you don’t currently meet these entry requirements, you maybe able to study a Level 1 Foundation Learning course.

Equipment required

You will require a 8gb USB Flash Drive along with a folder and paper, pens and pencil.

Upon completion, you could progress onto a T-Level full time programme or apprenticeship.
