During the course a range of subjects are covered that will introduce the various aspects of Mechanical and Electrical engineering that will provide you with the required grounding in mathematics, science, production and inspection, project planning and implementation that is essential in the modern engineering workplace.

You will mainly be based in the Training Centre for up to 38 weeks which is one of the UK’s leading Training Centres for manufacturing and engineering. This time will enable you to develop high level skills whist gaining on and off the job training.

Course Details

  • Carrying out fault diagnosis on engineered Systems

• Carrying out preventative planned maintenance on engineered systems

• Assembling and testing fluid power systems

• Maintaining mechanical devices and equipment

• Wiring and testing electrical equipment and circuits.



How will it be delivered and assessed?

Your qualification will be continually assessed through oral, observation, written and practical work.

You will achieve your apprenticeship on completion of the Knowledge, Skills, Behaviours and End Point Assessment.

Entry requirements

You will need Maths and English GCSE Grade 4 and above.

We will need to see proof of your qualifications and Proof of Right to work in the UK.

You will also need to pass an assessment test and interview. You will also need an employer before you can start your apprenticeship.
