Course Summary

All students will cover the following topics:

• Human Life • Working in health and social care

• Meeting individual care and support needs

• Physiological disorders

Those taking the diploma route (worth two A Levels) will also study:

• Enquiries into current research

• Principles of safe practice in health and social care

• Nutritional health

• Promoting public health


How will it be delivered and assessed?

Health and Social Care is assessed through a combination of external examinations and internally-assessed assignments (coursework).

Five GCSEs at grade 4 or above including English and Maths
