Health & Social Care Level 3

All students will cover the following topics:

• Human Life • Working in health and social care

• Meeting individual care and support needs

• Physiological disorders

Those taking the diploma route (worth two A Levels) will also study:

• Enquiries into current research

• Principles of safe practice in health and social care

• Nutritional health

• Promoting public health

Health and Social Care is assessed through a combination of external examinations and internally-assessed assignments (coursework).

Five GCSEs at grade 4 or above including English and Maths

Health and social care jobs account for one in ten of jobs in the UK! Therefore, health and social care is a really useful course for anyone wishing to study further, go on to work or have an apprenticeship in any of the following areas: nursing, social work, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, nursing, youth work, social work and teaching.
