Course Summary

This course is designed for students with particular interests in sport and public services and would like to learn more about sports coaching, outdoor activities, working as a team and understanding young people and the law.

It is designed to provide you with a wide range of specialist technical knowledge and practical skills to seek employment opportunities in either the sport or public services sector.

You will gain extensive hands-on experience taking part in sport and fitness activities. low ropes, camp craft and water based activities at Manvers Lake.

Your programme will consist of classroom based theoretical learning and applying practical skills in sport and public services.

Students will develop knowledge skills and behaviours studying the following:

Understanding Young, People Law and Order
Team Leading Skills
Team Work
Communication Skills
Assist in Delivering an Activity Session
Planning a Fitness Programme
Taking part in a Sport
