Students will extend their learning of maths in topics covered at GCSE and of new ones introduced during A Level study.

How will it be delivered and assessed?
This qualification is assessed by examination consisting of three papers. One is a pure maths paper, the other half pure and half mechanics and the third is half pure and half statistics. A calculator is expected to be used.
Entry requirements
At least a strong grade 6 at GCSE.

An A Level is maths will support any further study or career based on maths, the sciences, geography, business amongst other areas but an A Level in maths provides useful insight to the problem-solving ability and resilience you have and so is a good addition to any other A levels you may take for whatever path you want to take.
