Whether you have experience or not, we can help you gain the knowledge you need for a career in the motor vehicle industry. We will help you work towards qualifications in motor vehicle repair with the possibility of progressing to higher qualifications and an apprenticeship scheme.

Technicians in Maintenance and Repair are the life blood of the industry and more are needed to replace those who leave the industry or retire.

Our qualifications include Braking systems, ignition systems and vehicle fitting and repair principles.

You will learn how to diagnose, test and repair a range of vehicles in our fully equipped workshop while being prepared for a possible placement.

Besides finding out more about the motor vehicle trade and what it can offer, you also learn things such as:

  • Basic skills
    - English, Maths
  • Personal and social development skills -
    - confidence building, communication, interaction etc

We have leisure activities, including the chance to use our FREE on-site gym, play football and other sports and do career and job search workshops.

Course Details

Level one is mainly fast fit technician training, and includes:

  • Tyre changing and repairing
  • Brakes
  • Clutches
  • Exhausts
  • Servicing...
  • ...and more

We offer motor vehicles training up to Diploma Level 2 and now also Apprenticeships

How will it be delivered and assessed?

Mostly assessment is ongoing through production of a portfolio of evidence including photographic evidence and written references etc.

We have on-line testing in centre, which you can do as soon as you are ready.
