Course Summary
This is a vocational course that is suited for any student who wants to pursue a career in sport. They need to be independent learners as a lot of the course is coursework based.
Students need to be confident to coach and lead small groups.

• Health and fitness Testing for Sport and exercise
• Sport and exercise Psychology

Entry requirements
A successful student is likely to have studied physical education or completed a level 2 in Health and Fitness and obtained at least a GCSE grade 5 or equivalent.
At least a grade 5 in English language and science is helpful

Most units are assessed internally through coursework, essays, assignments, presentations, research projects and log books. These are then externally moderated.
Three units are examination papers and are externally set and assessed.
