The KW2 BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport Programme

KW2 Academy provides learners with a vocational sport course that will develop the knowledge and skills to work within the sport and active leisure sector.

You will be supported to pursue a career in sports coaching, teaching or fitness. The course will take place at the Concord Sports Centre where you will study a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport which is accepted for entry to higher education courses.

Joining KW2 Academy means that not only will you benefit from outstanding teachers and great football training, our students will be entered into the regional college football league, experience playing at the fantastic Manchester City Academy, meet with footballer KYLE WALKER who will give a confidence building talks, have the opportunity to attend our friendly games to be scouted for Premiership , championship , league one , league two, none league football clubs and football clubs abroad as well as having access to quality information, advice and guidance (IAG).

The KW2 BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport Programme

Duration: 2 years, for pathways 3 and 4. 1 year for all other pathways.

Full Time Monday – Friday. Morning Education studies. Afternoon Football Coaching studies. Wednesday's College football league matches

Mode of Study: Full-time, practical, theory sessions with a work placement.

Our induction and showcase day will be on Monday 16th February 2026 from 4:30pm - 6;30pm at the Concord Sport Center.

After completing the course we present a presentation day.

You must be between 16 and 18 years old by August 31st to start the programme.

Admission requires 4 GCSEs, including English and Maths. If you need to resit these subjects with us. You will only be eligible for a Level 2 You must hold a UK passport, EU settled status, or valid leave to remain endorsed on your resident's card for the duration of the course. If you have any doubts, please ask.

Accredited by NCFE Costs There are no tuition costs for students under 18. However, you should budget for expenses such as textbooks, travel to and from training, educational materials, and match-related costs. Additionally, there may be a fee for purchasing our Puma a training kit at the start of the season. You will also need to provide your own electronic device (laptop or tablet) to support your studies.
