A Level Physical Education

This course provides you with an exciting introduction to the study of all aspects of Physical Education and Sport and can lead to rewarding careers such as Teaching and Physiotherapy. There is an emphasis on both science and social factors and how these affect participation and performance.

You will be taught through a combination of theory and practical activity and will study the following areas:

1. Applied Anatomy and Physiology

2. Skill Acquisition

3. Sport and Society

4. Exercise Physiology

5. Biomechanical Movement

6. Sport Psychology

7. Sport and Society and the Role of Technology in Physical Activity and Sport

Combination of Exams and Practical Assessment.

Grade 4 in English Language. GCSE science 4 4. Must be competing to a high standard in an activity from the AQA accepted list. Interview required with course leader.
