Level 3 Information Technology (1 A Level Equivalent)

Equivalent to 1 A Level

You will study the following four units across the two years:

• Unit 1 - Information Technology systems
• Unit 2 - Cyber Security and Incident Management
• Unit 3 - Website Development
• Unit 4 - Relational Database Design

Themes covered are:

• Information Technology Systems
• Cyber Security and Incident Management
• Relational Database Design
• Website Development

A number of specifications will be changing and prospectus entries are based on information we have to date. This means that course content may be subject to change.

• Units 1 and 2 are externally set and marked exams
• Units 3 and 4 are Pearson set assignment briefs internally marked.

5 GCSEs (including English and Maths) at grade 4 or above.

Following the successful completion of the course, you will hold the UCAS points equivalent to 1 A Level. This, along with 2 other A Levels (or equivalents), will enable you to progress to Higher Education to study a university level course or a higher apprenticeship
