Your next steps...

Many students aspire to careers as solicitors or barristers. However, Law is an appropriate A Level for other careers, such as business, journalism, the civil service, forensic science and various areas within both the civil and criminal justice systems. This is because the qualification demonstrates that you have strong analytical, problems solving and communication skills.

This course could lead onto higher education in areas of law, business studies, politics or more general higher education courses. With further training, you could go into a job related to law such as a Lawyer, Solicitor or Barrister, Police Officer, Advice Worker, Legal Executive, Human Resource Manager.

A qualification in A Level Law is highly valued by many employers, in particular, because of the critical thinking and analytical skills which studying the subject promotes. As well as the obvious career choice of joining the legal profession as a barrister, solicitor, legal executive or paralegal, Law graduates frequently find themselves working in the commercial sector, business and finance, social welfare, human resources management and with charities.
