Course Summary
Psychology is ‘the scientific study of behaviour and mind in humans and animals’. This course is designed to introduce students to various branches of psychology including:
- Child psychology
- Criminal psychology
- Environmental psychology
- Sport psychology
Course Details
A Level
This course consists of the following: Three two hour examinations at the end of the two years, each paper has an equal weighting
• Paper 1: Research methods
• Paper 2: Psychological core themes through studies
• Paper 3: Applied psychology
How will it be delivered and assessed?
A Level examination papers consist of: multiple choice, short answer and extended writing
Entry requirements
GCSE grade 5 in Psychology if previously studied, 5 in English Language, 5 in Mathematics and 5 in Science (5 in Biology, Chemistry and Physics or 5 and 5 in the combined Award Science)
