Course Summary

Course Descriptor: Level 3 Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) – Digital Health Pathway

The Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) at UTC Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park gives students the opportunity to explore an area of personal or professional interest in depth while developing essential research, project management, and presentation skills valued by universities and employers.

Delivered as part of the UTC’s Digital Health specialism, the EPQ enables students to investigate how technology is transforming healthcare — from wearable sensors and artificial intelligence in diagnostics to data analytics and virtual rehabilitation. Through guided research and independent study, students identify a topic, design a project, manage its delivery, and present their findings to a non-specialist audience.
